I have now and have had in the past, a number of cameras with excellent EVF/OVF's and frankly I never use them at all. I don't suppose you are the only one by ANY means that feels such way. Just curious, am I the only one that would never buy a point and shoot camera, regardless how good it is if it does not have a viewfinder of any kind. I wonder why someone would design a camera without a viewfinder but, if the camera were actually "good enough", I'd adjust. My older DSLR lacks the diopter so the viewfinder is less useful for me. Not as often as I actually use the LCD, but I use it. My newest camera has an adjustable diopter for the EVF so I use it too. In a situation where the LCD is acceptable, I find myself using the LCD. What are you going to do then? You can put a viewfinder on your priorities list when you begin shopping but you'll rather quickly, IMO, find you have to have some flexibility in those priorities. But maybe the EVF doesn't provide a full frame image. If you have an articulated LCD screen, you'll really, probably use it quite often. You become accustomed to what you are using. If, say, I were to be shopping for a new guitar and the "good one" was a twelve fret model and the less good one was a fourteen fret model, unless I played a lot of music waaaaaay up the neck, the "good" one would be my choice.

#Point and shoot camera with viewfinder manual#
If I was shopping for a car for great mpg's and I had to decide between a manual transmission and a CVT, the manual might be more interesting to drive but logic says the CVT would still be more efficient at achieving the best mpg's.

"? I suppose that would first depend on just how "good" is good.
